Our clinic is funded
by Legal Aid Ontario
Willowdale Community Legal Services (WCLS) is a community legal clinic that has
been serving low income residents, who live in the Willowdale area, since 1987.

We are part of a network of 79 provincial legal clinics funded by
Legal Aid Ontario.
As a non-profit corporation our operations are overseen by a community based board
of directors. The directors are elected each year by the membership.

Our Mission
The Board and Staff of Willowdale Community Legal Services (WCLS) are
committed to providing legal assistance to people with limited financial resources who
live in our catchment area. This legal assistance includes providing:

  • summary advice,
  • advocacy, and representation; as well as
  • public legal education,
  • outreach,
  • community organizing and
  • law reform activities

aimed at promoting the legal welfare of the community and facilitating access to
services for people of limited resources.

Our Service Area
We serve those living in the area:
  • west of Victoria Park Avenue,
  • east side of Yonge Street,
  • south of Steeles Avenue
  • north of York Mills (with the exception of the
corner south of Hwy. 401 and east of Don Mills
    Road.)

If you are not sure if you live in our catchment area
please call the office at 416-492-2437.

Where to Find Us
We are located on the ground floor of the office building located at 245 Fairview Mall
Drive. (Our office is not in Fairview Mall.) We are one block north of Sheppard, east
of Don Mills Road. For more information about finding us and how to contact us

How You Can Get Involved
Each year our members elect our Board of Directors. Volunteers from the
surrounding community serve as directors. The Board of Directors oversees the
administration and policies of the clinic. The Board guides the staff on issues of
importance to our community.

Support the clinic by becoming a member. If you are 18 years or older, you live or
work in our area and you support our work then you are eligible for membership.
You can apply for membership at our office.
